We live with breathtaking views to the Spanish Sierra Nevada, in in this image I wanted to capture the intense beauty of the Alpujarra spring, with the radiant green of the fields and trees, while there still is snow on the mountain tops. And who knows what hides behind the mountains on such a lovely day?

I have used scraps of fabrics, some bits painted to get the color and feel I wanted. Everything is handstiched. Yellow beads picture the spring flowers.

The work is stitched to black cotton and mounted on a 3 cm thick wooden frame (handmade by Kristian). Signed and ready to hang on the wall.
