Madonna and Child

Without the precious baby – who would she be? The birth of the child lifts her from ordinary to a queen. The creation of a new life.

The pink materials in the picture; silk, linen and cotton, are dyed using rosé wine or dried rose petals. Madonna keeps warm in real fur (bits from my mum´s mink coat). Embroidery, beads.

Hand stitched to black cotton, that has been mounted on a wooden frame (made by Kristian). Signed and ready to hang on the wall.
