Despite having done craftswork my entire life, it was not untill I moved to Andalucia in 2022, at the age of 60, that I started taking my work more seriously and try to develop as an artist.

Growing up with a very artistic and creative mother, I was encouraged from a young age to do craft of all sorts. At seven she tought me to use the sewing machine and I was 13 when I made my first picture from fabric, using felt. I have a strong creative urge, so I have always need to have a project going, whether it is knitting, embroidery, crocheting, making fabric dolls or puppets, patchwork or pictures, and sculptures from papier maché or even fabric.

Moving to our remote vineyard farm in the Alpujarra mountains of Granada was life changing. Here I got the encouragement from artists friends and my husband Kristian to continue my process.

The dramatic landscape here brings me peace. I get my main inspiration from meditation, astrology and mythology.
