If you dream about cycling holidays adventure through majestic landscape, with a wide variety of routes, on all levels, then Alpujarra should be your choice. Situaed in the region of Granada in Andalucia, on the southside of the mountain chain Sierra Nevada, Alpujarra is known for its moorish history, pittoresque villages, good food and wine.
The area is suitable both for road biking, mountain and gravel. With little traffic and a careful car drivers, there is hardly any better way exploring this part of Andalucia.
Autumn, winter and spring is the best time of the year for your cycling holidays. The weather is mainly sunny and you can enjoy an al fresco lunch. Evenings can be chilly, so perfect for enjoying in front of the fireplace at Cortijo el Medico. Maybe with a glass of our wine?
Cortijo el Medico is a suberb starting point, whether you want to set off from the farm or put your bike in the car and drive to another route. We´ll be glad to help you planning your cycling holidays adventure.

Groups
Our farm is suitable for groups that would like to train and explore this area. We have an outdoor area where you can wash/repair your bikes, a mudroom with free use of washing machine, outdoor security camera and possibility for storing bikes inside.
Kristian is an old cyclist and cycle trainer, and has recently taken up gravel, aimin in participating at La Indomable in Berja in the class 60 + i 2025.
In the photo are profesional cyclists from Groove Gravel team. They stayed with us for a week, to prepare for and participate in the World Gravel Series in Berja, La Indomable.

Practical information about cycling holidays here:
The closest airport is Granada (1,5 hours) while Malaga airport is two hours drive from us.
If you need to rent a bike, we recommend Cycle Sierra Nevada. On their website you´ll find plenty of information about cycling in this area.

We recommend that you rent a car at the airport for your stay. If you prefer not to drive, we can arrange aiport pickup.
