WELCOME TO CORTIJO EL MEDICO:
Co-living in a vineyard on top of the world
Do you want to come and stay with us? Send us a mail at hola@cortijomedico.com for info on availability.
Hola, we are Tove and Kristian!
Having lived pretty nomadic lives ourselves, we have now, in our early 60s, finally settled down on our farm, Cortijo el Medico, in the mountains of Andalucia, southern Spain. Here we make wine, arrange yoga retreats, wine and cooking classes, rent out the main villa on the farm to guests from around the world – and generally enjoy the good life with our two dogs, cats and chickens.
We love bringing nice people together and are happy to be able to host co-living for digital nomads. Wether you are writing a novel, studying for a degree or working remote, our farm is a great place to get away from it all and focus on your project.

Location
Welcome to the top of the world! Once the refuge of the Moors fleeing the Spanish conquerors, the Alpujarras, as this area is called, is famous for its rugged, wild landscape, rough history, beautiful Moorish villages (we have view to 12 of them from the farm), as well as great food and wine.
Click here to get the exact location of the farm.
Cortijo el Medico, the doctor´s farm, is situated at 1050 meters above sea level, surrounded by 30 hectars of vines, olive, almond and fig trees. Nearest bus stop is at the main road, 1,5 km from the farm. Nearest shops are in Cadiar, fifteen minutes drive/10 minutes bus ride.
Our closest international airport is Malaga. From Malaga airport you can take the bus to Granada, and then change for the bus to Cadiar. We can pick you up at the bus stop at A348.
It is also a possibility to rent a car to get here. From the main road (A348) you continue a steep gravel road for 1,5 km before you reach the farm. If you are not comfortable driving in the mountains, you probably will be better off without a car.
The rooms
LOLA FLORES
Situated on the ground floor, Lola Flores (named after the famous flamenco artist) is probably our most quiet room. Having said that, it´s situated next to the billiard room, so bring ear plugs if you believe the sound of other people having a game will disturb you. Lola Flores has one single and one double bed, and the bathroom is next door.
PALOMO BLANCO
With amazing views to the mountains, almond orchards and vineyards, this room makes it easy to get distracted. Lie in bed and daydream… Situated on the main floor. Shares bathroom with Rosa.
LILA
Situated on the ground floor, Lila has two single beds, facing the lovely views to the mountains and almond groves from the huge window. Imagine having views like these when working.
ROSA
Rosa has one double bed (140 cm) and one single bed. A great room if two persons want to share. Direct access to the terrace outside.
